BIO
Florian started as a swimmer at the age of 6 in a local swimming club. After a few years he was competing at a national level and eventually became a part of the German Junior National Team. Doing his time as a swimmer he won a total of 7 national titles at Youth and Junior levels.
In 2012 he did his first triathlon which led to a passion and fascination with the sport. The year after Florian finished third at the Frankfurt City Triathlon (won by germantriathlete Sebastian Kienle). The result opened interest from ERDINGER Alkoholfrei who offered Floriana place on the Erdinger Perspektiv Team.In 2017, Florian turned professional and started working with international triathlon coach, Philipp Seipp. This partnership has led to some great achievements with several Ironman 70.3 victories, an Ironman victory at Ironman Barcelona which secured him his qualification for the Ironman World Championship.
Most recently Florian raced a phenomenal race at the Ironman World Championship in Utah, St. George. Florian was a dominant factor most on the swim and the bike, working hard in the lead group. A solid run secured him a great 5th place.
